How Dye-Sublimation Printing Works
Dye-sublimation is a heat-transfer process in which sublimation inks convert to gas and bond permanently into the polyester fiber. The result is a print that will not fade, peel or crack, and that does not alter the hand-feel or stretch properties of the base fabric.
Color Bonds into the Fiber
Because the dye migrates into the polyester structure rather than sitting on the surface, the print becomes part of the fabric itself — delivering sharp detail and deep, vivid tones that last the lifetime of the garment.
No Change to Hand-Feel
The sublimation process adds no surface coating, so the knit fabric retains its original drape, softness and stretch after printing. A printed performance knit behaves exactly as it did as a white blank.
Will Not Fade, Peel or Crack
Unlike screen printing or heat-transfer vinyl, sublimation prints have no physical layer on top of the fabric. There is nothing to peel or crack, and the bonded dye resists washing, UV exposure and repeated wear.
No Pattern Minimum — Print Any Quantity
Sublima imposes no minimum order quantity on printed patterns. Whether you need a single sample swatch to validate your design or a full production run, our in-house digital printing facility in Ho Chi Minh City handles both.
