How Sublima Prints and Quality-Controls Every Fabric
At Sublima, every metre of fabric moves through a defined sequence of in-house steps — from white-blank knit inspection to finished print sign-off — before it leaves our Ho Chi Minh City factory. This page explains that process so your sourcing team knows exactly what to expect.
Our End-to-End Production Process
Step 1 — White-Blank Knit Sourcing
We stock 100% polyester white-blank knits purpose-built for dye-sublimation. Incoming rolls are checked for weight consistency, construction uniformity and surface defects before they enter the print queue. Only blanks that pass incoming inspection proceed to the next step.
Step 2 — Artwork & Color Preparation
Your artwork file is profiled against our press and ink set. Color matching parameters are applied at this stage — contact us for details on our current color-matching capability, as specifications are confirmed at time of order. No pattern minimum means a single custom pattern can move straight into production.
Step 3 — Dye-Sublimation Printing
We print entirely within our own factory using dye-sublimation technology. The colorant converts to a gas under heat and pressure and bonds directly into the polyester fiber structure. The result is a print that will not fade, peel or crack, and that leaves the hand-feel of the base fabric unchanged. Maximum print width is available on request — contact us for the current specification.
Step 4 — Post-Print Quality Inspection
Each printed roll is inspected under standardised lighting for color register, edge-to-edge consistency and print sharpness. Rolls that show deviation are set aside for review. Our goal is that every roll shipped to you matches the approved sample.
Step 5 — Sampling & Lead Time
Physical sample swatches of your chosen pattern are produced before bulk production is committed. Sampling lead time depends on current production scheduling — contact us directly and we will confirm turnaround days at time of enquiry.
Step 6 — Packing & Dispatch
Approved rolls are labelled by pattern reference, roll number and meterage, then packed for shipment from our Ho Chi Minh City facility. Documentation is prepared to support your inbound receiving process.
Why In-House Printing Matters for Quality
When printing and fabric sourcing sit under one roof, we control every variable that affects the final result. There is no hand-off between a blank supplier and a separate print house — our team manages substrate selection and print parameters together, which reduces the risk of colour shift or registration error caused by substrate inconsistency.
Dye-Sublimation — What the Process Guarantees
Because the dye bonds into the polyester fiber rather than sitting on top of it, the printed surface is inherently durable. The print will not fade, peel or crack under normal garment use and laundering. The base fabric retains its original texture and drape — there is no added coating or ink layer to affect stretch or breathability. These are structural properties of the dye-sublimation process on 100% polyester substrates, not claimed certifications.
No MOQ on Patterns — Practical Quality Benefit
Because we impose no minimum order quantity on patterns, you can run a full production-representative sample before committing to bulk. You see the actual printed fabric from our actual press on the actual substrate before any large order is placed. This eliminates guesswork about how your artwork will translate to the finished roll.
Our Product Lines and Their Quality Considerations
Custom-Print Knit
100% polyester white-blank knits ready for dye-sublimation. The white blank base is critical — sublimation colours are translucent by nature, so a clean, bright white substrate is required for accurate colour reproduction. Our blanks are stocked specifically for this purpose. Print your own pattern with no pattern minimum.
Stretch Performance Knit
Polyester-spandex and cooling knits engineered for real stretch and recovery. These fabrics are designed for swimwear, yoga and close-fitting activewear where dimensional stability under movement is a functional requirement. The spandex content provides the stretch; specifications for individual constructions are available on request — contact us for details.
Optional Finishes
Additional fabric finishes — such as moisture-management treatments or other functional coatings — are available on request. These are not built into our standard blanks. Speak to our team to discuss whether a specific finish is appropriate for your application and we will advise on feasibility and lead time.
Start with a Sample Swatch
The most direct way to evaluate our process and quality is to hold a printed sample in your hands. Contact our team in Ho Chi Minh City to request a sample swatch of your chosen fabric construction and pattern, or to get a quote for your specific requirement.
